Make the most of 2009
January 5th, 20092009 is only a few days old but I will bet there are a few people out there who are struggling already to keep those New Year resolutions.
Most people like to start the new year with big plans, promises to do better and setting goals for the forthcoming 12 months.
Despite our best intentions we all know that they don’t always go to plan.
It may be that you want to lose a few pounds, cut down your drinking, learn Spanish or have a real go at getting a promotion at work.
Of course, dreaming these ideas up in time for January 1st is the simple bit.
But sometimes finding the time or fighting the temptations can be easier said than done.
Improvements and changes in your life aren’t necessarily tied to the calendar so there is still plenty of time to get your year on track!
For those who have raided the biscuit tin or whatever else already, don’t be too down-hearted.
It may be your new healthy eating plan or strict alcohol regime starts here.
And if your planning to take a class or learn a new skill but haven’t got round to doing anything about it yet, why don’t you get on the phone straight away?
Self-improvement is an ongoing process and you shouldn’t be put off by a few false starts or fear of failure.
So whether it is giving up chocolate, getting a new job or learning a new skill, I would wish everyone all the best in 2009 whatever they plan to do with it.
