McNeil to speak at Cloch anniversary dinner

Greenock MSP Duncan McNeil is to join MP David Cairns as guest speakers at an event to mark the 40th anniversary of Cloch Housing Association.

Cloch was formed as a charitable organisation in 1968 to stem the flow of young families leaving the area by providing affordable rented accommodation.

Forty years later, it has developed into a business with a £3 million turnover and manages and maintains 1,400 good quality homes in Inverclyde.

Its anniversary is to be celebrated at a gala black-tie dinner in Greenock Town Hall on October 25th.

Mr McNeil was delighted to accept an invitation to speak at the event.

He said: “Cloch Housing Association has made a tremendous contribution to this area in its 40 years by providing homes and jobs to local people.

“With a number of new projects in the pipeline in the coming years, I am sure it will continue to grow and benefit the people of Inverclyde.

“I look forward to joining in the celebrations on the night.”
