Pat on the back for the posties
Greenock and Inverclyde MSP Duncan McNeil has paid tribute to the hard-working postal staff delivering our Christmas card and parcels.
Mr McNeil popped down to the Greenock sorting office in Knowe Road to see himself the good work being done.
And he was able to pass on his personal thanks to the postmen and Royal Mail staff for their efforts.
He said: “Most of us are starting to wind down as Christmas approaches and looking forward to a well-earned break with our families.
“So it is worth sparing a thought for those hard-workers who enable us to do that by putting in the extra hours.
“Postmen are a classic example of that, lugging about parcels and delivering hundreds of Christmas cards on our behalf.
“I was glad I was able to go down and shown my appreciation for these workers who help in their little way make this time of year so special.”
