Meet
the Buyers Good for Parliament and Business
Duncan McNeil MSP, the member of
the Parliament’s Corporate Body with portfolio responsibility for procurement,
says next month’s “Meet
the Buyers” event in the Scottish Parliament will be good for business
and good for the Parliament.
“It is crucial that our
procurement processes are not only within the letter of the law, but are seen to
be transparent and fair,” he said.
“Events
such as ‘Meet the Buyers’ are key to this and I am looking forward to
discussing with a wide range of suppliers the possibilities of working with us.
It will give companies the chance to add a brand such as the Scottish
Parliament to their client list and help us get the best deal for the
taxpayer.”
