McNeil
Welcomes Extra Police Officers for Larkfield and Braeside
The
announcement that a team of 10 extra police officers is to patrol the streets of
Larkfield and Braside has been welcomed by MSP for Greenock and Inverclyde,
Duncan McNeil.
Speaking
today, he said:
“I
am delighted with this excellent initiative.
My colleague, David Cairns MP and I had the opportunity to discuss the
idea with Chief Constable, Willie Rae and Chief Superintendent, Kenny Murray
back in December. The fact
that the force has managed to get the scheme up and running in a few months is a
sure sign that they are listening to our concerns.
“I am confident that,
alongside other welcome initiatives such as the dedicated Antisocial Behaviour
Team and community wardens, this will make a real difference to the lives of the
decent, hardworking people of Larkfield, Braeside and beyond.”
