McNeil Welcomes Minister’s
Diversification Message
Welcoming this morning’s
comments by Enterprise Minister, Iain Gray, regarding the
Scottish Electronics industry, MSP for Greenock & Inverclyde,
Duncan McNeil, said:
"In much the same way as our own IBM is moving from being a manufacturing to a total solutions company, diversification is essential if the Scottish electronics industry is to have a bright, or indeed any, future.
"I am therefore glad that the Minister
recognises this and look forward to the Executive’s
continued support on a range of fronts – from lifelong
learning to increasing our competitiveness – in bringing
this essential change about."
